MEDICAL DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY:

Our medical director, Dr. Amol Soin, MD, grew up in Dayton, OH.  After finishing high school in Beavercreek, he entered into the combined 6 year BS/MD medical school through the University of Akron. While in medical school, Dr. Soin was noted to be a hard working student and a gifted researcher.  He published the book, "Curing America: A Look Inside America's Failing Health Care System" after becoming disappointed in the fact that 40 million Americans live life without health insurance despite living in a country that boasts the worlds largest economy.  While promoting the book, Dr. Soin appeared on local affiliates of NBC and CBS, as well as AM and FM radio. His work gained him recognition by awarding him Dayton Business Journal's "40 under 40 award", in addition to making him a finalist for the William H Fallor research award.

After graduating from medical school, Dr. Soin entered into Anesthesiology residency at Rush University in Chicago.  While at Rush, Dr. Soin was actively engaged in research in both Pain Management and Anesthesia.  He won a first place award for his research while studying the effect of MRI's on patient's who have spinal cord stimulators. During his time at Rush, he was elected to serve as Vice Chairman and then Chairman of the Illinois States Medical Society's Residents and Fellows Section.  After completing residency, he went to the Cleveland Clinic for fellowship training in pain management.  At the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Soin mastered the most advanced techniques available for pain management.  The Cleveland Clinic is the largest and oldest academic pain management department in the United States, and his training there was superb.  While at the Clinic, Dr. Soin engaged in several research activities.  He has authored papers for peer reviewed medical journals, written textbook chapters in pain management books used to teach other physicians, and been involved with teaching medical students and medical residents the subtle nuances of pain management. He has also been recognized as one of America's Top Doctors in Pain Management for 2006 and 2007.

Dr. Soin is excited to bring the newest and most advanced techniques to treat pain management to his hometown of Dayton, Ohio.  Dr. Soin is noted by his colleagues for his strong commitment to ethical patient care and compassion.  He practices evidenced based  pain management, and avoids the usage of addicting narcotic medications unless all other treatment options have failed.
